Meet Uncorked Canvas
Uncork Your Creativity!
Premiere Paint Studio in Tacoma
Uncorked Canvas® was founded in April of 2011. Ours was the first Peninsula-based paint and wine studio south of Seattle.
Making Art Possible
We believe that art should be accessible and possible. Our focus is to provide encouraging and artistic ways for people of all levels of experience (and no experience) to complete a piece of art they can be proud of. This is also why we are a family-friendly establishment: creativity should be open to everyone!
Uncorked Canvas resides in the historic Ledger Square building in Tacoma’s Theatre District, providing a gorgeous, light-filled studio space. We now have a new studio open in West Seattle!
Hours of Operation
The paint studio is open during class times or by appointment only. The studio and office are both closed on Mondays. We are not always in the office, so please forgive any delay in response (we promise we will get back to you as soon as possible).

Jillian has been with Uncorked Canvas since July 2017. She began learning to draw and paint from her artist father as a child, but her formal art education includes three years at the Tacoma School of the Arts here in town, and four years in the Fine Arts department at Western Washington University. Her B.A. in Arts Education is a stepping stone towards her eventual aspiration to become a middle/high school art teacher. When she’s not substitute teaching for Tacoma Public Schools or guiding creativity at Uncorked Canvas, she’s probably riding her current horse companion, Fred, or painting in her home studio with the company of her kitty, Boots.

Julie has been creating art since she was a little girl, from decorative hand painted ornaments, tolle painting on wood and metal, watercolor gift cards, Bob Ross-inspired oil paints, and acrylics. She inspired children to love art, teaching art classes at her children’s elementary school back in early 2000’s after art was cut from the teachers budgets. She also creates glass fusion art, jewelry, and loves glass blowing! Come see some of her oil and acrylic paintings in our gallery.
