Meet the Artists

Kaitlyn Lloyd

Instructor: Kaitlyn Lloyd

I was born and raised in Gig Harbor and was accepted into the Tacoma School of The Arts my sophomore year, where I graduated with a major in visual arts in 2009.

During high school I interned at the Tacoma Art Museum where I worked with young students and created fun art lesson plans, Metro Parks teaching the Tacoma School of The Arts summer camp, and at the YMCA working with youth in art classes, as well as at Purdy Elementary School.

In late 2012 I got commissioned to paint a large indoor original mural for Lloyd & Wilson’s Auto Service. I was featured in a short article online in the Tacoma Weekly Volcano.

I have always loved the arts, it has been a major influence in my life and something that I hope to continue working with for years to come. I love working at Uncorked Canvas because I am always excited to share my own artistic style as well as see the amazing creativity that others bring to each class.
